Bok Choi with Stuff

What you need

2 bok chois
3 cloves garlic
1 inch ginger (ish)
1 chili
1 tblspn soy sauce
1/3 tblspn sesame oil
Peanut oil

How to do it

Mince garlic. Mince ginger. Chop chili into small rings. Put all that in one bowl. Chop leaves off bok choi. Chop leaves into half if large. Put leaves in another bowl. Chop stems into small segments (maybe 1/4 inch each). Put them in separate bowl. Put soy sauce and sesame oil into another bowl (together).

Put peanut oil in pan on high heat (8 out of 9). Put bok choi stem segments in and let sit for one minute. Stir at end. Put garlic, ginger, chilis in with stems, maybe add a little peanut oil. Mix and let fry for 1 minute. Throw in leaves. Mix and let cook for 30 seconds. Take off heat but leave in pan. Drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil over. Mix briefly. Put in bowl and serve.


Bok Choi with Fermented Black Beans

Some bok choi
2-4 cloves garlic
1ish tablspoon fermented black beans
Peanut oil
1 tblspn Sesame oil
1 tblspn Soy sauce
(optional) chili oil

Chop the leaves off the bok choi, then chop the stems into half inch (?) slices. Coarsely chop garlic. Heat peanut oil. Throw in the bok choi stems. When they seem right to bite into, throw in the garlic and black beans. 30 seconds later, add the leaves. Stir until leaves wilt. Remove from heat. Add sesame oil and soy sauce.
